A member asked:

Can you faint from a fast heart beat?

Yes: If your heartbeat is too rapid it can limit the amount of blood your heart can pump and cause fainting. This can be very dangerous, even life threatening. You should see a doctor right away

Yes, but uncommon: a fast heart rate, like over 180 beats a min, can result in smaller pulses of blood being ejected from the heart. This can lead to a lower blood pressure, then less blood to the brain, then passing out or fainting. Called ventricular tachycardia, on the TV shows, they say "V tach". Commonly treated with paddles to shock the heart (defib).

Definitely, yes: Fainting occurs when the blood flow to the brain is reduced for a few seconds. There are many different kinds of tachycardia (fast heart beat), the ones that most commonly cause faint are ventricular tachycardia.
