IBS: Flu itself probably would not cause exacerbation of IBS, however, anytime your body is fighting an infection, whether viral or bacterial, it affects the immune system and that, in turn, may have an affect on any underlying conditions. So, when you have the Flu, it's possible the IBS may flare, but may not.
