First, an exam: Just to reassure yourself and anyone who cares about you, have a good physical exam w/ emphasis on the concerns you mention. It may even involve some lab work to get levels of thyroid, etc. With the results, you'll be able to address issues or consider psychotherapy to learn skills to deal w/ anxiety. I'd do that before medication. I hope it turns out well!
