What are the relation between menarch and uti?

Menarche/UTI: It's not so much the menarche that predisposes to UTI, but the hygiene involved during ones period that can lead to problems. Whether tampons or pads are used, if they're not changed frequently enough, bacteria are trapped in the genital region. Also with pads, having occlusive product in one's panties with blood on it is a great breeding ground for bacteria. use a spray bottle daily during period

Menarche and UTI: There was a significant association between prevalence of urinary tract infection and use of sanitary pads and tampons. This is especially true at the onset of menarche. Thus, adolescents girls , at onset of menarche, must practice good personal hygiene to minimize the risk of developing a urinary tract infection.
