Consult your doctor: Usually acute epiglottis does not last for 4 weeks it subsides in a few days,Difficulty in eating solids and feeling dizzy indicates some obstruction /mass in throat.,May be your epiglottis is healing slowly and is thick and swollen.,to cause difficulty in eating solids. Discuss with your doctor,and get investigated to find out the problem

Epiglottis: Acute epiglottis is an acute medical emergency. The fact that you have been ill for 4 week speaks for some other problem. Best be checked by an ENT specialist
