Side effects of tetracycline?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A few: Tetracycline should not be given in pregnancy due to staining of the teeth of the fetus. Like all drugs tetracycline can cause allergy. It can lead to overgrowth of other organisms particularly candida in the vagina. It might not be effective in some cases and of course will not work for viral illness. It is a useful and very inexpensive drug which is now not being carried in some pharmacies.
