Lactic Acid: When your muscles don't get enough oxygen, they start producing lactic acid, which produces pain in the area, the Lactic Acid is slowly cleared and 3 days later the pain is gone. When you get stronger muscles then become more efficient at using oxygen and you produce less Lactic Acid and it takes less time to heal from the pain. Don't overexert.
