A member asked:

Can clindamycin phosphate lotion 1% used to treat a rash make the condition worse before making it gets better?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rash: Clindamycin can be used to treat infections. If the rash is infectious then Clindamycin can be effective unless the bacteria is resistant to clindamycin. However, if the rash is caused by an allergic reaction then you would need prescription cortisone treatment.
