Tough to say: Everyone heals a little different, and depending on your general health, weight, other "co-Morbidities" etc., your recovery period may vary. Keep up with the Dr. who treated you and there may be some meds to help decrease the swelling and speed up your process of recovery. good luck.

Variable: once you are fully mobile and using the ankle like normal it shouldn't take more than a few weeks for the swelling to go away.
