Also...: Good answer by Dr. Lewis. Also, the facts that you are young, symptoms are bilateral, symptoms come and go may all suggest cause might be non-serious. However, still needs eval. Pay close attention to what parts of extremities and face are involved. Report to doctor.

SOME THOUGHTS: These somewhat vague, but real sensations raise some questions in my mind regarding spinal cord inflammation or even brain stem involvement. This is not the pattern of a pinched nerve, but many other causes could be considered. Contact your doctor about this, recommend some imaging of spinal cord, and think a neurologist needs to become involved. We can guide you further as this proceeds.
