? gastroparesis: It sounds like a form of gastroparesis. The antibiotic I am assuming was Erythromycin used as a promotility drug. Gastroparesis can be idiopathic (unknown cause) or it can be caused by diseases such as diabetes. I know that tambocur can cause a neuropathy but I have never seen gastroparesis.

Usually, stomach lining is protected by mucus . But can certain acidic foods or sitting for long cause excess acid in such a way that it damages the lining in spite of mucus and cause burning? I am talking of stomach burn and not heartburn/reflux.
