Cervix Dilation: Usually 40 weeks is the cutoff, 42 weeks is the overdue date. Cervical dilation gives a coming soon view as the days get shorter for delivery time. You are supposed to see your Ob weekly or more frequently at this point. If not out by 42 weeks, they might induce the pregnancy or get a C-section.
