Not best choice: While Amaryl (glimepiride) may ultimately increase Insulin receptor sensitivity, it initially stimulates the output of Insulin from the pancreas. Many women with pcos already have abnormally elevated levels of Insulin in their blood, so causing it to go even higher with Amaryl (glimepiride) would not be desirable.
