Upper respiratory infections are frequently associated with ear infection which begins with the collection of fluid in the middle ear cavity. Bacteria can grow in the fluid causing inflammation and pressure. Perforation of the eardrum can follow with fluid drainage. See your doctor now for appropriate treatment.
