Why do a person take vascor?

Vascor: Vascor (generic name: bepridil) was used to treat angina but was taken off the market in the usa. It is still available in some countries other than the United States. A serious potential side effects is that it can cause a life threatening rhythm disturbance (torsades de pointes tachycardia).
