Yes: It is possible. Please ensure that there is good wound care. Tetanus updates should be done every ten years. So if it has been more than 10 years since your last tetanus shot or you don't know - get another shot. For particularly dirty wounds it is sometimes recommended that you have a tetanus shot at the five year mark.
