Qualified Yes: "Good bacteria" or probiotics are essential to colon health and good for the immune system. Somebody with a long medical history like yours is likely to have used a lot of antibiotics, and those devastate the good with the bad bacteria. It makes sense to restore normal bacterial flora. I cannot say whether it will resolve your complaints, but it is something to consider. Work with your doctor.
