Ok if healed: If the scar is healed then getting wet is fine. If there is discharge, leaking or the wound is open, then dressing changes are used until healed. The more fat, the longer it can take to heal. Rarely, it needs to be closed at a second operation. The best thing to do is to check with your doctor.
