No problem: Hello - blood group is the letter and the rh is either positive or negative. There may be some issues if the mother is lacking some antigens in the babies blood group. For example, if the wife is rh-(negative, the - in the o-) and her fetus is rh+ positive. The mother may make antibodies against the rh that may hurt the baby.

No: When mom is negative, then we want to know partners blood type. If dad is positive and mom negative, then baby can be positive. In this situation mom's body could form antigens against baby's blood. This can lead to problems during pregnancy.
