No problem: If you are both the same blood type then it should not be a problem. The problem arises if there is difference in the Rh blood group. For example if you are Rh+ and she is Rh -, she may have a baby with Rh+ type. This may cause immune mediated anemia in the baby. The treatment is Rhogam injection for mom. There are other blood group antigens which can also cause problems but they are rare.
