Possibly yes, probab: ly not. All injuries, surgeries and the Infection would have left a lot os scar tissue which can invove the nearby nerves, causing tingles or pain etc, Or over the last 18 months or so you could have developed some back issues or which became obvious recently that you are having problems now. Certainly talk it over with your surgeon and He'll either help you or direct you to the Right person.
