Propranolol (inderal) for test anxiety in kids?

I don't do this.: Some drs treat test anxiety w/ propanolol(inderal). I do not. This med is cognitively suppressive-esp if used episodically-so it can backfire. My experience is that there are better meds& methods. Also, I do not treat this anxiety only during testing. Whatever meds are used should be used routinely; otherwise, it is less effective. Plus, the patient needs to be acclimated well in advance of test.
