The SEER data: Suggest 10 -13 cases/100, 000, slightly less in blacks (<10) slightly more in whites > 13. Few (15%) are localized. 60% transabdominal. It accounts for 3% of cancer in women, about20k cases/year and 15k deaths. The risk increases with age.
