A member asked:

On victoza, (liraglutide)doctor said its time to go up to 1.2, because i been eating alot on 0.6, ahould it be a easy transition.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eating control=Dose: Agree with your doctor. Victoza's effect on appetite and fullness depends on the dosage. The 0.6mg dose is a starter. For appetite control you need higher doses such as 1.2 or 1.8 mg. The medication works by delaying emptying of your stomach, so the more you take, the more full you feel. The usual dose is 1.8mg. Watch out for nausa(usually short lived) and low blood sugar.(rare)
