A member asked:

What is m hominis? can it be treated by the same antibiotics as ureaplasma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Similar: Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasm urealyticum are both small bacteria called Mycoplasma and are common urogenital pathogens, frequently passed through sexual contact. the treatment is the same, treated with Azithromycin or erythromycin. Doxycycline is another option. flouroquinolones such as Levaquin (levofloxacin) are secondary options.
