Have acid reflux disease with barrett's . my 30 mg x 2 daily lansprazole has stopped working. can i switch to otc prilosec 40 mg x 2 daily and try it.

Reflux returned :/: Given your hx of Barrett's, you should schedule an appointment with your GI. S/he may need to look into why Lansoprazole stopped working. A scope may be indicated. Or s/he may increase your dose of Lansoprazole or add a second med. If Lansoprazole isn't working, it's not clear that Omeprazole would work. To avoid risk, however, the first step is to get in to your GI for an evaluation!
