How does she look?: If she is alert, is willing to drink some fluids, wants to cuddle with you and have you read to her that favorite book, she does not need a doctor tonight. Fever is not a disease that needs treatment - it is just one of many symptoms that something is going on. At her age, likely a virus, but if she is not acting right or fever persists, then call your doc tomorrow for further advice. Drink lots!
