Not often: Chondroblastoma is a rare, usually benign bone tumor comprised of cartilage producing cells. It is usually found in young males and involves epiphysis (ends) of long bones, usually of lower extremity. While benign in appearance it is one of few such tumors with the potential to metastasize to lungs .treatment with curettage, possible cryosurgery and bone graft can cure.
