A member asked:

Help can bone marrow continiously release lymphocytes everyday?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: This is clear when Rituxan (rituximab) is used for lymphoma. The target is CD20 which is found on the lymphoma cell but also all lymphocyte. Even though this drug attacks the normal lymphocyte to reduce its population dangerously, the level is maintained since the marrow releases normal lymphocytes from precursors cells every day. The precursor cells don't have CD 20, are not effected .
