Possibly: Most cases of subclavian steal syndrome are due to non-immune causes, such as atherosclerosis, cervical rib. Very few cases of giant-cell arteritis with that syndrome have been described. As for unknown lung diseases, there are several that are several that are due to a hyperactive immune system.
