Is it possible for acyclovir to help oral cold sores?

Confusing question: The "cold sore" that shows up on the outside near the lips can benefit from acyclovir, although other medicines are usually preferred. Oral sores inside the mouth are unrelated to the germ that Acyclovir works on and would not help.
