What to do if i have had these discolored patches on my tongue for days and its sore when i eat food. what is it?

Sore tongue: Probably papillitis. No acidic/salty foods, alcohol, mouthwashes, smoking, spicy foods for 10-14 days. Half tsp of baking soda in 8 ounces of lukewarm as oral rinse may help.

Several Things: Discolored patches on the tongue could result from a number of different causes. A condition called geographic tongue will have patches on the tongue resembling a geographical map that change appearance and can be sensitive to certain foods. Other conditions with patches on the tongue could be a possible fungal infection, ulcers related to trauma, or other systemic illnesses. See your dentist.
