Bile sequestrant: Some patients experience increased intestinal motility after gallbladder surgery from the steady secretion of bile into the duodenum. There are medications known as bile binding agents or bile acid sequestrants (such as Questran (cholestyramine) ) that can slow this down and may definitely help with loose stools. Talk to your surgeon or gastroenterologist.
