A member asked:

What to do if i have epilepsy that is 100% controlled with medication and a recent surgery, will this prevent me from becoming a helicopter pilot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be a problem: You see, federal aviation rules do prohibit use of an aircraft if the pilot has epilepsy, and this even applies in the case of driving oil tankers professionally. There are a few exceptions, and it would not hurt to enquire about this. Good luck.
