High calcium level: You need to have the physician who told you your calcium (C) was high to do some blood tests to find out why it is. There are no good reasons for your C to be elevated. Some of the causes are hyperparathyroidism, high levels of Vitamin D, hyperthyroidism, sarcoidosis and metastatic liver disease, as well as others. Have your doctor do a work of your high C levels to get an answer and a treatment.
