Unusual: Anything is possible, but this is quite rare. You may not have been aware of having been given an STD and may want to go and be checked carefully for others. Best wishes.

Possible: Mostly PID are caused by untreated STI especially gonorrhoea and chlamydia but other bacteria can also cause PID . http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pelvic-inflammatory-disease/Pages/Causes.aspx
