Maybe: Ovarian cysts can get large. They can cause pain, and also predispose to ovarian torsion, which cuts off the blood supply to the ovary, causes severe pain, and requires emergent medical attention. There are other causes of severe right lower quadrant pain that have nothing to do with the ovaries, like appendicitis. Please seek medical attention ASAP.
