Unlikely: Modern pregnancy tests are very accurate. While there is always a chance for a false negative result I would trust the test. If you are having your period that means you are not pregnant.

Yes.: Urine pregnancy test may not pick up the diagnosis at early stage. Repeating the home test or doing a blood test (serum preg test) in 1-2 wks interval is a good approach. If still neg and mens is irregular, you will need a pelvic exam and further evaluation to r/o other causes of irregular periods.
