Menopause: During menopause hormonal fluctuations certainly can cause mood swings and these can affect concentration and personality changes which in turn can aggravate ADD. I feel that you should discuss this issue with your gynecologist who might prescribe treatment for you.

No.: Menopause , could bring on depression due to hormonal changes especially those with family history of depression, used to be referred to as Involutional Melancholia, can make you more forgetful, easily frustrated, irritable and very sensitive to real or perceived criticism. ADD is not outgrown ,contrary to popular beliefs and it can just add to your post-menopausal problems. Get help.
