Schizophrenia and: Major Depressive Disorder are different disorders. We can experience reactive depression in response to family stressors like being in relationship w/someone w/schizophrenia. Be the best you can be and avoid the self fulfilling prophesy of thinking that your future is already determined. Peace and good health.

Might be. : Many times, people have illnesses that go unreported and show up as other illnesses. For now I would be cautious and make sure you take care of your health, stress levels and diet. All 3 can affect your depression. Illnessess and psychiatric ones can run in the family. Alcoholism can mask depression or bipolar disorder.
