Pins and needles/numb rt ring finger/ 2 wks. saw dr after 4 days and was told not to worry "numb is normal" should i go back? what could it be?

Not "normal": Of course, it is not normal, but may be minor. Only ring finger? If so, which side? (Digital nerves in fingers supply one or the other side of finger.) If only one finger and only one side then the problem is in the palm of the hand or at base of the finger. If more is involved then problem could involve ulnar or median nerve (either of which may supply the ring finger).
