Better not: It's not desirable to mix and match Klonopin and Xanax (alprazolam). You should only take medications, especially controlled drugs like benzos such as Klonopin and Xanax (alprazolam), that have been prescribed for you and only take them as prescribed. If the Klonopin was prescribed for you then what you should do is contact that doctor and see if s/he wants you to keep on taking it and will give you a script for it.

Why are you out?: If it is prescribed for you, you need to be taking it the way it is prescribed, and if you did, you wouldn't run out. And where did your Xanax (alprazolam) bar come from? An old prescription? You really shouldn't keep those around. In any case, benzodiazepine withdrawal is dangerous, can cause seizures and life threatening complications. A Xanax (alprazolam) bar is 2 mg, the equivalent of 2 of your Klonopin. Call your MD!
