Sclerotic metastases: Your X-ray or ct scan is showing small focal areas of increased density in your bones. There are benign causes of this(bone islands, osteopoikilosis) but when certain cancers metastasize to bone they can also cause focal areas of increased density in the bone, called sclerotic or osteoblastic mets. Sometimes X-ray cannot determine which it is, and further tests are necessary.
