Lorazepam: If I understand your description, you took 5 to 7.5mg of lorazepam. Lorazepam has sedative properties which is why you fall asleep. Sedatives at high enough doses will interfere with the mechanism that controls our breathing. (how fast and deep) When people overdose on sedatives, they can die from the respiratory impairment.
