Is it normal to sometimes have the minty feeling in your eye when you brush your teeth?

Salicylate Allergy: Many plants contain salicylates - mint sure does. Mint products can cause allergy symptoms of all sorts in sensitive people. I suppose you are lucky if only one place is reacting, but consider finding a toothpaste that has no salicylate ingredient. Read the package. Consider baking soda w/ a few drops of peroxide. Really inexpensive, super cleans, whitens and great breath too!

Possibly: smells could be sensed in the eye and communication through the lacrimal gland is very possible allowing for the sense.
