Anxiety is additive: It is not likely that anxiety is the only problem, but it can definitely make any breathing problems much worse. So, you might benefit from an ENT evaluation as well as some CBT psychotherapy to learn skills for anxiety management. The eval may point you toward a solution and the skills will help w/ life in general.

Possible: Extreme anxiety is often the cause of breathing problems because the body is in a state of stress. Get a physical exam just to be sure and talk to a therapist if the problem persists
