LMP: When we date a pregnancy, we count from the first day of your last period (LMP). Conception occurs two weeks later. The reason for this is that, in the past before we understood how women's cycle work, the only thing we had to use as a landmark was the LMP. So, if your LMP was 3/24, you are 6 weeks and 5 days today.
