To Some Extent: Marijuana does not commonly effect hypertrophy or hypertension in a negative way but this is not a guarantee. There have been rare reports of heart attacks and stroke associated with marijuana use. Best advice: If you have underlying heart disease it is best to avoid any futher damage. Damage to your lungs increases cardiac work and may precipitate further heart problems.
