Positive Test: I'm guessing you mean the test line of the test is faintly positive, not just the control line. Any visible line in the test area is considered a positive test. That said, with pelvic pain, there may be a problem. I would recomend that you see your dr or a walk-in clinic asap. If the pain becomes severe, you may need to go to the er as ectopic pregnancy is a possibility.

Depends: If you had sex since your last period, and missed period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
