See details: The wrist needs to be evaluated. Casting is only very rarely needed. Splinting is easier. However, many areas of tendinitis can resolve with a simple cortisone injection. See a rheumatologist or orthopedist.

Wrist tendonitis. I take my splint off all the time. Now if i ask for a hard cast that i can't take off for a few weeks so it can rest. Do you think its a possibility my doctor could.Work with children?
My wrist/thumb cracks,hurts,gets warm,stiff and sometimes i get tiny red dots over a vein leading to my thumb. Could this be a blood clot? Tendonitis?
